Summary
At Brownsea Island, two representatives from every single National Scout Organisation (NSO) in the world where Scouting exists, will gather on the island where Scouting began and renew their Promise, stood on the spot that those young people stood 100 years ago to the day. The Scouts will celebrate through the Sunrise Camp (30 July to 1 August 2007) in a truly international celebration.
Idea/ Programme
NSOs across the world will nominate two representatives from their country to travel from the World Scout Jamboree to Brownsea Island in order to take part in the Scouting’s Sunrise Ceremony. The participants will experience two days of unforgettable experience before returning to the Jamboree to join the evening celebrations of the 1 August.
Aims & Objectives
To get together participants from every Scouting country in the world, for the first time ever and celebrate together 100 years of Scouting. The camp will increase international solidarity and the start of the next century for Scouting.
