Brownsea Island- Replica Camp

At Brownsea Island during the duration of the World Scout Jamboree, two replica camps of four and a half days each will run either side of the 1 August 2007.  Each camp will consist of 20 Scouts/Explorer Scouts and will replicate the first camp in 1907.

Idea/ Programme

Scouts can be nominated by their Counties/Areas or apply direct to attend the event.  Scouts/Explorer Scouts will be selected based on their suitability against the criteria for the event.

Aims & Objectives

To celebrate the first camp in 1907 with two replica camps living and under taking the way of life in 1907 to show other Scouts and the public what the camp would have looked like.

Audience

Members of the Scout Section and the Explorer Scout Sections (10 and a half to 16 years at the end of the event)
