- Mills, Weirs and Sluices can be extremely dangerous. All Scouting activities being undertaken within 50 metres upstream, and 25 metres downstream of these structures must be carried out under the supervision of a holder of a B2 Inland authorisation.
For the purposes of scout rules, the following define the upperlimits of tidal waters on the Norfolk Broads (there is a small tidal influence above these points) :
- River Bure - Stokesby
- River Yare - Reedham Ferry
- River Waveney - St Olaves Bridge
- The inclusion of waters within this list does not imply a right of access. Always gain permission of the owner before undertaking any water activities.
- Please inform the ACC Activities of any waters not included within this list.
