Join-in-Centenary is a year-long programme of month-by-month activities for all Members of Scouting. In September 2006 specially prepared packs were sent out - one specific to each Section, helping Leaders provide a busy and exciting year of activities for their Scouts.
The programme takes you on a journey that helps you and your Scouts explore adventure, international friendship, community and the environment among other themes. Join-in-Centenary is also totally interactive, allowing it to be adapted to suit local needs, local priorities and activities.

Join-in-Centenary provides ideas for your regular Section meetings; you should have enough good quality activities to bring young people into Scouting and to supplement your existing programme. Not every Member across the United Kingdom will be able to attend the 21st World Scout Jamboree so use this resource to bring the Jamboree experience to your weekly meeting.
Each month also contains information about the key dates and events that are happening during that month. You will find the dates of Centenary events that are being planned nationally and festivals that you may wish to link with your programme.
Hard copies of the Join-in-Centenary booklets, wallcharts and stickers have been mailed to each Section, via Group Scout Leaders, District Commissioners and County/Area Commissioners. Make sure you ask your relevant line manager for your Section's copy. You can also choose to download the programme content from this website - just browse to the relevant Centenary month. Extra support for the programmes is available on the website (and on Programmes Online) in the form of printable resources and internet links.
Surplus copies for all Sections are available from the Scout Information Centre on 0845 300 1818 (you will need to pay for postage and packaging).
