Welcome to Join-in-Centenary, the resource to help your Unit make the most of 2007. Our Centenary year is not only an opportunity to celebrate 100 years of Scouting, but a chance to prepare our Movement for another 100 years. The purpose and method of Scouting has never been more relevant to young people. So please use this resource to make 2007 a year to remember for your Explorer Scouts and an opportunity to prepare for our future growth and success.
What is Join-in-Centenary?
Join-in-Centenary has been produced to provide programme ideas for your regular Unit meetings. Good quality activities bring young people into Scouting and this resource will supplement your existing programme plans with suggestions on a Centenary theme. Not every Member across the United Kingdom
will be able to attend the 21st World Scout Jamboree. However, you can use this resource to bring the Jamboree experience to your meetings.
