The permanent staff at each centre are supported by a large group of volunteers.  Each centre has a Fellowship or Service Team that undertake a wide range of activities to support the centres operation.

Activity Centre Scout Fellowship

What is an Activity Centre Scout Fellowship?
These Fellowships have grown out of Campsite Service Teams, primarily to ensure that all members of the Service Team are also members of the Association, and as such are covered by Insurance. The Fellowships exist to support the Activity Centres in helping young people get the most out of their time at the Activity Centre.

These include shop assistants, activity leaders and instructors, maintenance staff, administration staff, event organisers and programme staff.

Depending on the role will depend on the time commitment that is required but it doesn’t matter if you only have a day to give or a month there are always a vast array of tasks and activities to be undertaken!

In addition to the Fellowships and Service Teams our centres are supported by Explorer Units, Networks and other Scout Fellowships often these groups undertake specific projects or tasks.  These may range from an environmental weekend to supporting a large event.

For more information on volunteering at Scout Activity Centres please contact the relevant Centre Manager.
