I read the news today oh boy (and girls)! - Scout research creates media frenzy!
Scouting's domination of the Media has continued apace this week. Monday saw the launch of a groundbreaking report on how young people feel about life in the modern world commissioned to coincide with the beginning of Scouting's Centenary Year, and the media went wild for it with positive articles appearing in the Telegraph, the Guardian, the Daily Mail, and on Yahoo, not to mention the impact in local media.
Andrew Thorp of The Scout Association PR Team commented, 'Across TV, Radio, Press and Online we have had 105 pieces of coverage, these pieces have conveyed strong messaging and placed The Scout Association as an authority on youth matters.'
The impact of the report is continuing to be felt and it seems likely that there will be more stories as the week goes on, so keep your eyes peeled as Scouting further proves its continued relevance in the modern world.
