Young Aviation Artists' Contest 2006

Feeling artistic and have a head for heights? The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, the World governing body of sport flying, is requesting submissions from young people for its latest competition. The theme for 2006 is- 'Air Sports and Nature in Harmony'
Who can enter?
Entries will be judged in three classes :
- Group I (Date of birth between January 1st 1996 and December 31st 1999)
- Group II (Date of birth between January 1st 1992 and December 31st 1995)
- Group III (Date of birth between January 1st 1988 and December 31st 1991)
Great prizes
Prizes including a Free 'Young Aviator' Flight in a PFA Light Aircraft, attending a PFA Youth Aviation Experience Camp, Free Family Tickets to the major UK Aviation Event for light Aircraft.
All Entries received will be judged by a panel of experts. The winners in each age group will receive a Certificate, which will be presented at a suitable major Aviation Event. Gold Certificate winning entries will be forwarded to the International Jury for consideration for an International Award.
Rules and regulations
- The required format is A3 (297 x 420 mm). Artwork must not be framed or outlined with borders.
- Medium. Any of the following media are permitted:
- Watercolour, Acrylic or Oil Paints
- Indelible marker pens / Felt-tip pens / Soft ball-point pens
- Indelible Crayons
The following media are NOT permitted:
- No pencil, charcoal or other non-permanent medium may be used.
- No computer-generated artwork is permitted.
- No collage work involving the use of photocopies is permitted.
On the back of your entry
The following details should be clearly shown on the back of your artwork:
- Forename, Surname
- Address & Date of birth
- Name and address of Scout Group
A statement of Authenticity should be enclosed with your entry worded as follows:
I/We certify that this is the original and unassisted work of ............... (name of entrant).
I/We certify that ............... (name of entrant) is a resident of the UK.
Certificates are to be signed by the entrant's Leader, or other suitable person.

The small print
Winning entries, once received will become and remain the property of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale, which may use them for a variety of purposes. All other entries will become and remain the property of the Royal Aero Club, which at its discretion return them to entrants, or retain them for its own use.
