Recruitment: a fresh approach
Former Members
A good way of recruiting adults to help with local Scouting is to target former members of the Movement. These adults may have left for a particular reason and simply never got round to re-joining. They could have, for example, gone off to University, had a baby or changed jobs. Just because they left the Movement once, this doesn’t mean that they would not be willing to rejoin, particularly if their circumstances have changed. So keep in touch with former members and don’t be afraid to approach them further down the line.
