Scouts from Sevenoaks in Kent want to give cocoa farmers a fairer deal. Join them and sign the manifesto…
Scouts from the 3rd Sevenoaks Scout Troop came to The Scout Association's headquarters in Gilwell Park recently to support the Dubble Chocolate Challenge, which aims to get 100,000 signatures for its campaign to give African cocoa farmers a fairer deal. Organised by Dubble Fairtrade Chocolate, this campaign is one of a series of ‘missions’ that the Dubble Agents have been challenged to carry out.
Are you a Dubble Agent? It’s easy to become one, and while you may not get to drive a fast car like James Bond, you will get to make a difference for cocoa farmers in the world’s poorest countries.
Kris, a Scout in the 3rd Sevenoaks, said:
“I think all Scouts should sign the manifesto to help cocoa farmers, because they get much much less money than the people in the UK that sell the chocolate bars.”
Convinced? Watch the videos from Ghana and the UK and sign the manifesto at the Dubble website – www.dubble.co.uk/chocnchange - you could also win a kilogram of chocolate coins. Fairtrade ones, of course!
